Do you know what dragon rage is talking about?

Cutoff? I'm confused. This is the first mod I've done to headlights... is he talking about how they are aimed? I mean I followed the diy's online and the directions from the kit??

They may be aimed a bit high? I'm not positive. It could just be the quality of the picture.

For information on properly doing HIDs, go here: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/

Images of proper cutoffs: http://images.google.com/images?hl=e...=&aqi=&start=0

You shouldn't see glare like that from such a high angle. That means that other drivers are going to get that glare, too. Most "HID kits" are illegal for this reason.

Those cutoff images do him no good. He doesn't have a picture of his aimed at a wall like that.

That's true, but look at how high the angle of the camera is in the first picture and the amount of glare it's getting compared to the halogen side. There's obviously something wrong. He can try the wall test and post a picture of that if he's willing. It's going to look something like this: http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j4...425080045b.jpg (Edit: I think it might actually be worse)

They do seem to be a bit high, the glare is pretty intense. I've had mine in for a few weeks now and the glare isn't like that. Try that OP. Play around with the aim.

To be honest i think that the first pic was before i fully reinstalled the headlight. however the 2nd is with both fully installed.

When it gets dark I'll go out and take a pic of my lights on the garage for comparison.
Also I did take these with my iphone so the quality isn't that great.

Thank you for the links.

I'll post a pic in an hour or so.

Oh also I bought the kit from hidextra from a link i found on this forum. are they good quality? they talked themselves up pretty good on their site. lol. just wondering if that would make a difference or if i'm just a newb.lol

The one of the lights on the garage is taken from the middle of the hood.

Here is a side by side comparison between my moms rx8 and my a4

And now looking at my lights its almost as if they sent my two different bulbs? 6000 and 8000? Also I had just switched them on at this point so maybe they weren't warmed up?
