This maybe a dumb question but I have a 97 A4 and i do not have projection headlights, can i still use the stock housing for an HID kit? I kind of want a stock look

As I understand the lights (hid and halogen) are not interchangable as the light source is not in the same place and will not bounce off the reflector the same way. Read the Daniel Stern web site. How you look at the road is far more important than how the road looks at you. B.

Quick qusetion, for now i am not going to get HIDS, but i need bulbs. I want the brightest bulbs i can get. Mine are currently running under 35 watts, i see alot of them run under 55 watts, is this much hotter? I do not want to burn through my plastic or damage the housing.

Hey,

I bought Xenon bulbs not knowing that I need a conversion kit. Is the conversion kit absolutely required?

Thanks,

Heith.

If money is tight go cheap and get the silverstars or if you wanna spend $ get PIAAs, like most others have said if the manufacturer says dont use HIDs I wouldnt. Ive heard PIAAs are awesome, although pricey. I bought ZiZa bulbs from ECStuning like a week ago, they are really white but lack brightness, although I really need to realign my headlights. Just another option to throw out there.

jago that made no sense. I dont know much about lights either but you need to upgrade the stock bulbs or replace them with hids. HIDS use a ballast because they draw so much god damn energy they need them so they dont kill your battery. I believe they even run on 35 watts, while my new bulbs i just got run on 55 watts and there not really any brighter just a little bit whiter.

And to roller, tuchee my friend, atleast i do drive an audi. haha
