Default Hitachi ECU 8D0 906 266B

If I want to replace my ECU, what aside from the 8D0 906 266B is needed to ensure it works with my car? Or do all 8D0 906 266B fit?
Before switching, anything to write down (from Vagcom maybe)?
Let me know if you have an ECU laying around.

That is all you need. (8D0 906 266B)

I had the same issue and it does make a difference.
As far as having one, I do not, Just call to j-yards and ask
If they have one. Its worth a shot

Nothing to write down from VAGcom before taking the old ECU out? I remember on my 1998 1.8T that instructions required to write some codes down to enter the exact same ones when plugging the new ECU in.
