WTF? I never had enough light and was able to get this far under the car until I got it on jackstands... This looks bad......

It just looks like a car with 170k on it to me. A couple cans of brake cleaner will fix that.

I'm talking about the holes, but I guess those holes are supposed to be there. I'm almost ready to slide back and drop the tranny Taking me a while because light bulbs keep burning out and I'm labeling all the bolts since they are different sizes. It's going pretty smooth though.

A little help please... I've searched here, az, aw, and others but haven't come accross this... The tranny has pretty much been ready to drop since yesterday. My problem is that the shift linkage that is held together at the tranny with a 10mm bolt does not seperate/disconnect from the tranny after the bolt is out. I've tried every which way to get it off. Tips? It should just slide out once the bolt is lose.... I don't think disconnecting the linkage from the shifter will help get it out. I've really exhausted my resources and strategy. I'm thinking about cutting the rod and removing it from the tranny once it's out and then just replacing the rod/linkage. I'm talking about the linkage that uses the U joint/bushing.

It's OUT! I worked off and on for the last day and half. Altogether I think I had about 12 hours just to get it out. A lift would have been nice... Some of that time was spent being a little paranoid and **** about doing it right and going slow. The only snag i ran into was disconnecting the linkage. I had to leave it attatched and remove the shifter and shifter housing from bellow and slide it all out as one piece. I'll take the pressure plate/clutch and all that out tomorrow. Hopefuly I will find the cause of my problem is non existant clutch material.

1000 thank yous to auditech79's assistance

I wonder how long my tranny has been acting as a coffin for this guy. Crispy.
