I've posted in the moderator section about it. It's time to go higher up... Straight to the MAN. Last thing we need is for him to feel used and abused without proper recognition and chance losing him. I'm not trying to marry the guy, but he's a damn good asset to the site.

I wish I knew more about tranny's to help you out! Good Luck though getting it back together and hopefully running.

Josh

P.S. What clutch and flywheel are you putting in it?

Stock and stock. I figured BT'ing an engine with this many miles is a little late. I'll do a chip at most for now. When the time comes to rebuild is when I will go BT with supporting mods. I got a steal on the cluth and pressure plate, and can get a new stock dual mass fw for pretty cheap too. To get this car in reliable daily drivng condition will take a bit more funds and effort. I want it rolling with 0 issues by winter

Master cyl. seems to operate fine. Thanks for trying to help out, i do appreciate it!
wait you baught it with a tranny problem? is there actually something wrong with the tranny itself or did you just mean clutch/flywheel/pressure plate?

I bought it knowing the problem was most likely the clutch. I did mean "clutch/flywheel/pressure plate." A pressure plate comes with the clutch, and the flywheel is original, and cooked, so I need one of those too. Other than that these trans are pretty bullet proof.
Some people get the fw resurfaced. There is some debate on heat distribution and ballance properties that are changed after that, and since mine has 170k on it anways, I don't mind.
