Default Hood and Radiator Support

So yesterday I ran in to a stake bed truck…we all know how that ended. The passenger side took most the damage, doesn’t have any frame damage. What I need to know are radiator supports interchangeable 1.8=V6? Pre-facelift = facelift?

Thanks

They are not interchangeable. When I replaced my radiator support for my A4 2.8L I went through great lengths trying to find the correct one. The 1.8L support lacks certain holes to route hoses and cables and what not and the facelift is not compatible with the non facelift as the headlight mounts are different and lacks certain holes, etc... The most frustrating part was that some vendors claimed a certain support was compatible with facelift 2.8L and it wasn't. I ended up calling Shokan and paying them $205.20 shipped for used radiator support. The part came in and it looked brand new, not a single scratch nor grease. I could eat off that support and most importantly, it was the correct radiator support. Good luck!

Depending on if it will come with the radiator support brace and hose clips I would say 80-100 bucks? Not sure if anyone else could chime in. While I was searching, new aftermarket typically ran in that range, but I couldn't find the correct one. I ended paying twice the aftermarket price for a used in almost new condition oem radiator support from Shokan.

OK looks like my luck has picked up, getting everything I need from 1 car 98 A4 1.8. This is the list;
Radiator and Core support
AC condenser
Hood
Passenger headlight and turn signal
Air intake box
Timing belt cover

I really thought it was interchangeable. Actually, I just bought a new radiator without thinking that if I'll buy different radiator then I could no longer use the previous rad support. I just wasted money buying a new rad support that will fit my new radiator.
