It pops open no prob. But then when you pull on the release it won't fully open. The only way I think I can get this to open is if I take out the grill. But to take out the grill you need the hood open. lol it's a catch 22?

I don't want to break the grill to open the hood but I don't see any other way of doing it. help?

 

Take off the belly pan, and get under the car. Use a really long screwdriver or pry bar and un-latch it from underneath, this will only work on the 1.8T. If you have a 2.8L, you're gonna have to break the grill.

 

I was able to get the grill off an take care of it. I broke 2 clips but it's all good!

All I had to do is wd-40 the release and it's all good
