Hose coming off bottom of coolant flange leaking
Ok so I had a tiny leak coming from my coolant flange and so I decided to replace it. After doing so I had a way bigger leak. So I took the new one off to see whats wrong and I found there was a broken o-ring inside the hose that comes off the bottom. There is also a little plastic piece inside thats tapered, I guess so that when the hose is pushed on the plastic piece pushes the against the o-ring creating a seal. I didnt have a oem replacment o-ring but Ive tried like 10 different sizes of generic o-rings and I cant get the hose to clip on with any of them. The thing is these o-rings are thinner then the one that came out so I don't understand why it wont go on. Now for the really annoying part, the etka parts diagrams dont show the piece of plastic, o-ring, or the clip that goes on this hose, just a standard hose clamp which wouldn't work. Please help me get this figured out, I dont even know what parts to order or I'm doing it the right way. I spent all day with my hands crammed in there trying different things and nothing works. Its leaking like a siv now, and I need the car to get to work, Im wishing I would've just left it alone.
