Hose location

Default Hose location

2000 Audi a4 1.8t tip. Working on n122 valve have open pot for vacuum line it's the one pointing to the drivers fender looks line it should have one of those thin hard lines the goes in it but where does it go none of the diagrams I found show a good enough description

I think you're looking for the vacuum accumulator. It's a blue plastic bottle, shaped like some *****. It's under the P Steering resevoir.

It plugs into the resevoir. Just take a look, you'll see what I'm talking about.

I just happened to have my fender liner out today chasing a leak in the washer fluid bottle. Only had my cell phone but here it is from the fender:



And here it is from the top with the PS shroud off:



That's where that vacuum hose is trying to go.

Ya mine does not have that and neither did the my other a4 where the motor came from

Should be there. Here's the diagram for the vacuum on your motor. I really don't know how much your vacuum system performance suffers without it, but I sure know an unplugged vacuum hose is going to throw a code or two sooner or later!
