how 2 clean the rims
i just recently discovered that using carb cleaner will work wonders. mine were yellowish tinted from brake dust and i tried wheel cleaner but it wasn't as good as carb cleaner. idk if it will ruin the clear coat on the wheels though but i don't care about my stock wheels
i use simple green spray them down let it sit for a few then put a brush (plastic brisels) to it spray it down with water then wipe them down and their so clean and shiny! i just actually got inside from doing it
I clean wheels the same way i clean and treat paint. if it's really dirty, simple green is about as tough as i get with a cleaner. use a 1:1 solution, and let them soak. after you get them clean, wax them. brake dust will accumulate far less and rinse off easier with just soap and water.
I've used specialty wheel cleaners on really tough grime, but usually it's not needed. just remember all of these products open the surface of the wheel up... think pores on your face. without some kind of treatment afterwards brake dust will stick harder each time.
carb cleaner WILL clean them quick, but it's very caustic to paint. if you just want them clean and don't care, go that route... that being said factory alloy wheels are some of the toughest wheels out there.
hope it helps,
Ryan

best way ever to clean them is a simple polishing compound. It worked wonders on my wheels, I hadn't really cleaned them all winter, and I thought they were toast. But the polishing compound make them look better than when I got the car. Just make sure to wash after the polish compound, and then wax when the wheels are dry. I guarantee it will work!
