You don't have to drive a VW to be low and slow. Don just meant anyone in an Audi that's low and stretching/poking, is going to be driving slow.

I still think stretched tires isn't really just a vw thing.. most scenes involving stance, which is getting to be everything, stretch tires and so do drift cars for less sidewall flex

I understand that other scenes do this. Drifters for the stiffening up the sidewalls and to break traction easier, hoppers cuz their ghey (alot of them also remove their front brakes completely to run 13 inch wheels, although not the ones in your pics Alex), and I've seen some ricers doing it (which I thought was to copy vdubs).
Now that being said, when I think of stretched tires, I think of low n slow Volkswagens. It's kind of their thing, like a rusted out hood and a bikerack with no bike. Hey I can throw Altezzas on my car, but that doesn't mean its not a civic/ricer thing. Or if you put a **** in your ***, you can't claim "oh its not just a GAY thing anymore." Lol I dunno.
