I drive like a grandpa lately (cuz I've been spending $500 of gas a month and its not helping my RS6 funds) so I've been shiftin @ 1800rpms. I was about to suggest a tip chip but never mind

When you get a to a certain RPM just shift up(plus) dont know if its up or down(some cars are different) Etc. Play learn don't be scared just dont crash.

 

I've never heard of anybody crashing from trying to learn manumatic shifting. That'd be a first

forward for upshit, back for downshift. The 2.8 makes no power above 5500 so its not necessary to shift at/near redline.

yeah it wont shift upfor you. i have been on long road trips with it in tipmode then forgot to down shift when i got off the interstate and then all the sudden i have no power and im at 5000 rpms in 1st...it will down shift for you tho( seems a little bit better for the trans in you down shift for it in tip mode insted of letting the car downshift...that just makes more sense to me) and to when to use it...i use it if im going try and race my donkey like 1.8t or if im getting on the interstate and dont wnt the car to be shifting up and down out of 4th/5th when i step on the gas..and like others have said dont crash it...
