Stock STI's are capable of dumping the clutch at redline and having no problems lighting up all four wheels and taking off like hell. no k03 a4 is capable of such feats, especially with the stock clutch. now maybe you can beat a stock wrx, but thats even very debateable.
sure about that?

yes... dead positive... done it several times in several different sti's... that one obviously had problems, it didnt even sounds like he was revved all that high anyway... but sevaral things could have gone wrong there

that kid has various videos of his car on youtube, he's done 6k clutch drops before and they've all gone well, but that vid shows what happens when your an idiot and think your STI's tranny is gona survive repeated 6k drops. i can do 6k drops no prob tho but its not the best way to launch

honestly tho, a4's shouldn't even be compared to STI's. two totally different cars built for totally different purposes.

Actually bud, go check your facts; you will find you are very wrong.

A little common knowledge about FI and compression will tell you all you need to know. There is less air for a N/A engine to run. Since there is less air obviously less power, however when you run say 10 psi; you're still compressing the air to the same exact PSI you would be at sealevel. While the altitude effects all cars, it has far less effect on FI cars.
heres a lesson for you...
Air density decreases 3% at each 1000 feet of elevation above sea level. As the air gets "thinner", the compressor wheel must spin faster to maintain the same psi of boost, however, this often makes the turbo run a higher rpm than is efficient, which makes you lose serious power... ever notice how youre turbo stops pulling when you are at high engine rpm... its because its running out of its efficiency range.

so you have seen plenty of sti's dump the clutch and go, yet youre asking me if i'm sure they can do it? i'm confused. and noone is comparing an sti to an a4... we were just saying why that kid doesnt beat sti's.

Wow, so there are some stupid comments on this page, no offence.

First: STOCK subaru STI = 13.5-13.8 on the quarter. dont believe me?

Our cars are not made to be fast and shouldnt be made fast? How bout throwing a GT28rs on there and be high 12's.

There you go. It must be true. Mustangs do about those times too. I stay right next to them and pull a little. Either they all suck at racing or the car might be that fast. By the way Iv'e been tunning cars my whole life. I love audi's. Also whats funny is I'm not at sea level. I'm about 9,000 ft above. Sometimes it's funny what is said around here.
9000 feet, on that note Turbo's act as elevation neutralizers. Thats why i can take a 350kw Generator up to tahoe and still run it at full load.

And according to you, you live in Colorado Springs, CO. Which is about 6000 feet in elevation.

and that is a reputable site. believe what you want. but when you go all over the web and they all have the same listing, there is a good chance that it is true. that and i have seen numerous ones at Sacramento Raceway, the drag strip.

There are physical limitations of the stock parts on the engine. that is why you need to upgrade them. You do not list bigger injectors. Without bigger injectors, it would be physically impossible to do that because each mass unit of fuel has a certain about of energy in Joules. Unless you stripped the **** out of your car so it is light as hell, then you are not running what you think you are. period. Who knows, maby the STI drivers weigh like 800 lbs each.

WHat, you telling me i can have my ko3s hold 20psi at 7k
