I have the exact audi just 181k, i tried to sell mine for 4200 and got some offers at 3800. I put it up for 3000 and no one bite. I also had to replace both coil springs in the rear and no one woudl do it besides the stealership and that was a 1000 dollar job. Id start around 4000 or 4500 and work your way down depending on how fast you want to sell it. Good luck with the sale!

wtf they wouldn't replace the coil spring? Its a 15 min job... at least on my 99 it is. If they are all the same springs and I think they are I'll sell a whole set of good sport springs for 75 plus shipping. Oh and as is I probably wouldnt want to pay more then 2500 because you didn't mention any maintinance

+1. no records = im not interested. depending on how well these cars are maintained they can last for 300k miles or they can blow up before 100k.

if you are actively trying to sell the car, heres some advice...

take all the accessories off your rear view mirror. when i see a collection of pine tree air freshners i think that someones trying to cover up something stinky. so i look harder to find the stink. also as a buyer i dont want to see all of your crap, CDs all over, stuff hanging out of the radio. whatever.

also a good wash and detail goes a long way. spend a whole 6-8 hours and wash the car everywhere, under the hood, inside the door jams, inside the gas tank cover, around the trunk lid. wax all those places after. shine up all your plastic parts, dust the dash board. clean out everything from your ash tray and arm rest. clean all the carpet.

if you spend $80 and a saturday on some car cleaning supplies and spend a day making the car look pristine, you can fetch another $1000-$3000 for the car you would have sold for less money. some people dont want to put in the effort. those people wont sell their car nearly as fast or for as much money.

the records are good, make sure you include them in any ads you place on the car. make sure you tell people how important the timing belt is if it has already been done so they know to take that into consideration.

Well you should know that I got my 99.5 for 4600 and it had E-codes and HID's. I think 3500 is the ceiling price for that car.
