how to remove water pump?

Default how to remove water pump?

hi to all my water pump is a external one it has the thermostat located at the back of it. its below the alternator.my question is how to remove the water pump without having to remove the front end of the car.any help would be much apprecated been looking for days now doing my head in many thanks dave.

I think taking the front end off is the only way...I know I've tried getting around it with some of my previous models but it usually is next to impossible without as you have probably noticed...that model has a fairly simple front end for Audi so it shouldn't kill you too much....good luck and let me know how it goes!

well managed to get all front end of.just to realize that couldnt get to the water pump as there is 1 bolt under the cam belt and didnt have the right tool to take of the bottom pulley.so looks like ile have to get the tool and do the cambelt as well.so had to put it all back together for now not a happy chap.
