I was looking through craigslist in minneapolis and came across someone selling his a4 with a borla exhaust catback as his only upgrade so i got to thinking... would someone buying an almost stock a4 really NEED an 800$ exhaust system if they arent goign to mod it anymore? probably not! so i e-mailed the guy and asked him that when he was selling the car if the person didnt seem like they really cared about the exhaust if they would consider the stock one back on...wel a few days later he calls back and says its an older guy and he asked him and he didnt like it much anyway so he got full asking price and now got $150 in addition thanks to me ! (

(YEAH HE SOLD IT TO ME FOR $150) ha when he said the price he wanted i almost thought he was joking but i went to his place and it sounded great and was in good condition and only a year old so i paid him on the spot...

He then told me he worked at the VW dealership and could use the hydraulic lift in the service bay! i meet him there and we did it, was VERY quick and easy (bolts came off easily after a little liquid wrench was applied) total time was probably about 2 hours uninstall and install of both

I really love my new exhaust, i dont know if its in my head but i think i can definitely tell the difference in power but maybe its just because it soudns like its faster ha who knows

what do you guys think? ( this was my first upgrade, and CANT WAIT to do more... i was saving for a chip but this offer came and couldnt turn it down so that got pushed back some...

Modding your car is up to you. Don't let other people tell you how to mod it, or what to do. It's yours. Sure people will give you their opinion but overall its yours. What do you want to spend? Lots or little? You could go with suspension to handle better and give it that "slammed" look, or.. you could go with a chip to get a little extra "pep" out of it. I did exhaust and chip first. After that I did springs/shocks, then tints, and just interior stuff. Its up to you man, but nice find and good luck with whatever you do!
