Well, I have the un-envious task of having to work at night. To make matters worse, New Jersey got a little bit of snow today. Fast forward to 11:30pm when I go out to my car to clean it off and warm it up:



WTF!!!!! That wasn't there when I left my house!!



Oh, even better, my trunk doesn't shut all the way.



Well this didn't happen by magic. The only people on in the parking lot when I was there was the contracted plowing company. Anyone want to guess who is denying they caused the damage........yup the plowing company. I asked them nicely if anyone had hit the car, I gave them that much, but then they lie about it. I called the cops for a report.

Even the cop said it had to be a plow, he even pointed out that the car had shifted in the space I had parked (the snow showed this perfectly, I wish I took a photo). Still because it couldn't be "proven" who hit the car, it's going down as a hit and run. FML!!!

Sorry for the late night rant, and I know the damage is minimal,but still......I'm pissed.

I doubt I could get the officer to agree to that. The hardest part I have now is finding another euro trunk to replace it with.

I'm going to call insurance today and let them know what happened. The funny thing is, I was going this Saturday with a friend to a guy's shop I know to get an estimate for his car.....know I get to get one for mine!!!

I know it's early on, but if I go through insurance, will they try to replace the trunk with a euro or will they use the easiest parts to find. I'm almost positive it'll be easier if I just take care of it but still.....

 

i think that you can either get a brand new/used euro or get a brand new oem which ever is cheaper

 

Well the good news is Shokan states that they have a euro trunk in stock for $285. After talking to the shop this weekend, I'll see if I get the trunk if the shop will reimburse me. 2 hour drive to get it though......oh well.

 

Someone clipped my passenger side 2 days and now I have a nice green line down it looks like they were pulling in/backing out and caught the door with the bumper... I hate it when people are like that. Best of luck to ya.
