Hello I am knew to the forum I have been reading for the past few days. I have recently purchased an AUDI A4 B5 1.8 Saloon 1995-00. NO T on the end just a plain old simple Audi.
I am looking for parts I would like to give this car to my daughter after I service it but the parts seem wrong. An example looking for spark plugs, coil, and leads places like ECS have these coil packs individual for each plug. Mine has a double coil block thing over plug 3 + 4 the leads connect to this and go down on to the plugs 1 + 2 seem to be leads coming off this. Is there an update on these things? How can things be so different I know I need rotors but not sure if the ECS ones will fit as the parts are so different.
To let you know I am in Australia with an engine code of ADR.
The car has a build date of 98 released 99 when ever i enter this detail into any part site I get the same coil packs.

I took a look at that engine code, which is a non-turbo 1.8. It has a 'waste spark', dual coil system with plug leads, like the 2.8 with three coil system. The ECS coils are not going to work on your engine. You'll need to find a local source for the coils and wires if you really need them. But be sure that you actually do; my '96 2.8 has its original coils and wire set, with no problems.

 

may try eeuroparts if its true that the ECS parts won't work, not 100% sure what you are looking for.
