I NEED HELP!!!
Well to start things out, I have alot of electronics inside of my car. I have a second battery installed in my trunk but at night I'm still putting out too much power where my lights dim. So over the weekend I installed a new alternator. I took the stock 120 amp alternator out and put a 250 amp one in. The clip is properly installed and all the wires that came off the stock alternator were used on the new 250 amp one. When I start my car at idle its producing about 12-13 volts of power. When I drive and am anything over 1500 RPMs my car started to produce more than 16 volts & all my start-up indicator lights come on along with a continious beeping. On the inside of my tach where that screen is, it produces some sort of symbol with an X through it. I dont have an owners manual so I can't identify what the symbol means. I was wondering if Im going to need a higher amp battery along with the new alternator or maybe something could be wrong with my voltage regulator? I just don't know where to begin to fix this problem. If anyone has any thoughts on this, that would be greatly welcomed. Thanks everyone
