will i need a new sensor?
Does it clip inor unscrew?
If it screws in and it's leaking there, I can remove it and put nylon tape/pipe dope on the threads and put it back in, right?
Should stop the leak...is it possible or common that they leak there?

If they don't screw in, I need a new sensor and oring, correct?

The leak from the temp sensor was traveling down the heater core hose.
Ok, well I got to the dealership and got an o-ring and new clip for the temp sensor.
The old o-ring was mush. Put the new one in and checked for more leaks.
Thankfully it was not the heater core.

The Coolant Temperature Sensor fails quite often and a lot of people have leaks around it. There was actually a recall for 2001 and up (i forget to what year) if you were under 100k miles. (I don't know if your car is a 2001 or not..but yea..)

Coolant Temperature Sensor..$20 for the sensor
Heater Core..a lonnnnnnng and annoyingDIY or $1000+ from the dealer. Youre lucky...
