Where's the best place to locate one of these before i contact the dealer?

there are 2 pieces. one that covers the fog light, and the grille. try to locate someone parting out a 1999.5 - 2001 A4. scrap yard, or new at the dealer or ecstuning.com.

 

best bet is the junkyard

look up Audi A4 grille - there are tons of those

 

All the grills on ebay are for B6 models. There are tons of them as you mentioned. They look very similar though but likely are not interchangeable. Any one know for sure?
I'll try junkyards or discount parts houses. I imagine they want big bucks for it at the dealer.

rockauto.com ordered tons of parts from there.

 

ECS Tuning has them. Click here. Just watch the year splits, you need 2 separate pieces for your car. Your need the "Cooling air grille" and the "Fog light grille"
And if nothing else ECS gives you the manufacture part # and copy and paste that into google and shop around!
I really should be a spokes person for ECS with the amount of business I send there way...

 

Ok so i was looking at the web site that chocalotstarfish's put on his post ^ and they definitely have the fog light grill but if only i can fined my washer cap

 

ebay usually has some..
