As it seems every parting a4 is already missing its front bumper. When i bought mine it has an S4 one installed on the front, and from what the guy at the dealership said, if it has an S4 one on it, then you need to replace it with an S4 one because there are other things that need to be changed when doing so, therefor its already been done. Although when i called them 6 months ago it was 600, now when i call them, they tell me its 900. I think that is bull that they can raise prices that much, what just because of the economy or something. Anyway I need a new S4 bumper to my knowledge, does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge on where I can get one without spending 900 bucks.
Thanks

the s4 and a4 bumpers are interchangable. only visually different. unless you have a FMIC already installed and fitted with that bumper. in that case any bumper you buy will have to be refitted to clear that intercooler. but if your car is stock, you can use either A4 or S4.

I'm calling bs from the dealer too. The A4 and S4 bumper covers are the same price, from what I've seen they're ~$590. Some stuff isnt interchangeable, such as the fogs. They're different in size from A4 to S4. So maybe thats why he was telling you some stuff would need changed back if you went with the A4 bumper. Search for some parting S4 threads (there's definitely a couple recent ones on Audizine) or search local pull and save type places for a rearended S. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice McGovs. Maybe Ill call some dealerships further away, or in Canada like ouzo suggested. And the dealership ive checked most of this with is the one in Bellevue, Wa and everything is more expensive in bellevue.

yup - dealer is lying to you. RS4 bumper is a different story, but the S4 has same install points as A4.

i'm thinking they're more since there were no B5 RS4s sold in the states. Also they're wide body so a lot more is involved than just installing a bumper cover. You either need to go wide on the fenders too or narrow the bumper down to fit stock fenders.
