Default In2 ??

According to the manual, when In2 flashes in the trip meter when the car is started, it means that "further inspection is needed".

This has been flashing at me since I got the car in may, can anyone give me some speculation on reasons it would be flashing? Does it just mean I need an oil change or some simple reasons like that or is it more complicated? Considering there is an In1 as well, I would put my money on "more complicated" but how complicated might that be?

With that in mind, is there a sequence of some sort to clear it off if it is just something that needs to be reset after an oil change or whatever? It says in the manual that the dealer resets it upon the inspection so do they do the reset with a computer or is there some sort of 'depress the brake, turn car to on and hold the trip button in for 5 seconds' type thing to reset it?
