Default inconsistant boost...

just installed new exhaust manifold, kkk k04-015 turbo and fmic. the car has some very inconsistant boost. its pretty good from 5-10lbs. but just falls off if it hits 15-20 lbs of boost... is this because of my forge dv/bov that adjustable and it just needs adjusted? i even took the bov part off.. or maybe a vac/boost leak... hmm turbo sounds like its spooling very well and everything. i dunno. i didnt half *** anything on this install either.

it could just be over boosting? cause if the car is untuned, psi should be around 10-12psi i believe and with the bigger manifold and bigger turbo its prolly overboosting, and i think they also reccomend a larger FPR as well, maybe like a 3 or 5 bar? let us know how the APR dv fairs

Is it possible to run on a stock tune? yes.

Is it optimal? no

I'm thinking the lack of a proper tune for your set up is the issue. Best bet is either GIAC or Unitronics for a k04

well i looked at the giac website, im guessing you cant purchase off of it. looked at awe tuning which looks good http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shar...s&IL=GIACChips . but is this going to be what i need? like is it gonna be set for a k04 running that much boost? or do i tell them and they change the set up or do i have to get it dynoed somewhere and tuned?
