I am in need of some advice. I pulled off the inner driver's side fender while removing my ABS module and found what looks like missing body bushing, or rubber mounts...hell I don't know but it looked odd to me. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think. I've sent out my module to get reworked, but I'd like to know what this is so I can repair it while I have the car apart.

 

That's roughly where the windshield washer reservoir is on my 2.8..

 

Your talking about the gap between the motor mount and subframe. Nothing goes there it just looks like it.

 

you are most likely right on the money. I had to take that resevoir out to get to the module.

 

That's normal, it's supposed to look like that. It's got something to do with the alignment of the subframe, but I've always thought it was a clever way to tell if a car has been in an accident and not repaired properly.

Not 100% sure on that but if you look at it, it makes good sense. One of those little holes is attached to the inner fender, one is attached to the sub frame, and one is linked to the frame rail stubs that the motor is mounted to. If they don't all line up, that means the subframe is misaligned, which means the car got whacked and was not put back together properly

 

CCA4 is correct, they are alignment holes used during factory assebly. A tapered pin is used to alligh all three members!
