Default Installed new stuff with pics!

alright, so....a while back I removed my TIP and found a giant crack....so obviously I wrapped a bunch of electical tape around it and continued on with life...well, last week I finally did something about it and bought a new samco TIP

over the last couple weeks I have been going from the max coolant line to the min coolant line about every week although I do not think it's that big of a deal, I have a feeling it may partially be the fault of my resevoir (?)....plus the yellowish one that was in there killed the engine bay...lol

another thing that has been bothering me for ages is my spare tire....since i am on 18x8.5" wheels and 225/40/18 tires my spare is basically worthless for any long distance...plus it says right on the side of it that its only rated for 55mph....so, last week I won a mercedes SL wheel on eBay for $35 (18x8.5") and then i went to the local tire shop and bought a decent used tire (about 40% tread wear) for $35 mounted and balanced ...so here is my $70 spare!

the other things that I put on the car are; new front lip spoiler (the old one was beaten), new spark plugs, new bosch icon wipers and a set of wheel locks

in the next couple of days alot more parts should be dropped on my front door step ...I'll keep you guys posted!

nice, I've seen a couple guys running those Merc wheels for there main set and while it would bug me knowing I have asymmetrical wheels that look slightly different on each side, they do look pretty good on a b5.

NICE! I don't know about the spare though, it looks way to weird for me. At least its functional Did you have one of those old donut spares or something?

I just had the regular spare....the one that says 50 max in yellow....

its a skinny thing (125/90/15) and it says temporary on the side of it....

I go back and forth almost weekly from SF to redding (222miles)

if I get a flat anywhere I really don't want to have to worry about it....this way if I do get a flat(hopefully not though) I will simply be able to put my spare on and continue on my merry way....

like if i go for 4 days and I get a flat on day one, I can still run around town and take care of it when i'm back home....

I know it's not that pretty to look at, but I personally like the look of it more than that cheezy lil donut I have....

I didn't take any pics of the new front spoiler, you can just see the edge of it in my spare tire shot....I know the quality of the pics aren't that great, it was real dark, so I just did some half a$$ed *fingers crossed* flash shots...lol

I just got an 03' A4 and was very surprised to find that my spare was the same tire and rim that were currently installed on my car... this may be a naive question but is this standard with audi now?

I believe my spare was the correct height, it was just skinny and unsubstancial....

but now I have a larger set of wheels than stock....so I wanted a matching spare to go easy on my diffs if I ever have a blowout *knock on wood*

and there will be another update in a bit....I am going to install a forge splitter and a panzer plate tonite
