Went out to start the car and the battery was dead. Did a battery diagnostic and had to buy a new one. With the old battery and the new battery the instrument cluster doesn't work. The oil temperature gauge when started shoots all the way past 350. I've checked the fuses and reset the ecu. Any ideas?

 

Based on the fact that the clusters oil temp gauge does that and nothing else it sounds like the cluster is toast.
