I just bought a 1999 2.8 Audi A4 2 weeks ago, it has a crack in the windshield so I am looking to replace that. I'm trying to avoid shelling out $250+ for a brand new windshield so I was wondering how interchangeable the windshields are. If I buy a used windshield from any B5 model will it fit my car? Or am I limited to 99s? I found a guy near me who is parting out a 97 A4 and will sell me the windshield but I want to make sure it will fit in my Audi.

 

Considering that most of the B5 parts are interchangeable i wouldnt see why not. BUT you never know if there are subtle differences.

 

Yeah, my friend works at a junkyard and they have a B5 Audi there. He said it would cost me about $80 including labor. I don't want to do that and have it not fit though.
