Default intercooler core quality, size and myths

Hi,

does anyone know much about the type of core the godspeed FMIC uses and how it compares to other brands like racetec... I don't really want to hear biased generalisations like Godspeed 'sucks' just because it's ebay. I've done a bit of research, and the Godspeed is a good (big-thick) size for fitting behind the standard bumper with some cutting,the racetec is a smaller intercooler overall, but I'm trying to get the biggest FMIC that can without totally ******the bumper. But the racetec maybe uses a better core, design??

here's a relevant link;

thanks

BT- you would want racetec

k03/k04/maybe gtrs if its a bigger core you could get the godspeed. the ebay cores have a lower density and require a larger core to cool as effectively as a smaller denser core resulting in pressure drop.

^if you're really going to do it right the first time. then get a Garrett or Precision core. look them up online..

i got my Garrett intercooler core off of ATP for $500. it does amazing in hot weather

yes that is also a very good core. and 034 sells that piping, it'll definitely hold up to the power

I'm wondering if IC can be too big? Ive got a subscription to autospeed I know they have an article on it, Ill check it out.Don't get upset anyone I'm only trying to nut this out as I go, but I think it maybe a myth (in some respects) that a bigger intercooler can cause more lag?

heres a link, there maybe more on their site;

I too am curious about that as I have heard the same rumor, but neither heard it confirmed or denied.
