For the last week or two I have been getting the ABS and BRAKES lights coming on, not in the center pictograph digital read-out, but in the speedometer.

Sometimes the lights will come on, along with three shrill beeps, as soon as I start the car, and sometimes they don't.

Sometimes, when the lights have gone on upon start-up, they will stay on, and sometimes they go out after a minute or two.

Is anyone familiar with this problem, and how to solve it?
