Default It's official: I'm getting one.

I've officially decided I want an a4. Looking at the 1.8t, quattro, manual, 1999-2001. Just wondering what kind of mileage I should aim for? When does the clutch usually go? I've found 2 2000's @ 130k that I may be interested in. I still have 3 more yrs. of college full time so it won't be driven a whole lot outside of summer.

Thanks

Clutches can go at any time. Make sure and I mean make sure to take your time and run a car fax and call up dealers for service records. Make sure the timing belt kit was done at or around 60-80k mile intervals. If it hasn't been changed your looking at $700 to $1,400 haggle price and make sure to bring that up. It is also wise to get the vehicle inspected and the clutch and get it up in the air to check all the suspension components. Hope this helps and good luck.
