well i was expecting to spend about 3k. so if i go to a 1.9 instead i can keep my stock crankshaft and save $? or would a need a forged one still from a AEB? would i really need valves? im looking to make about 450 hp as a final goal so..

Yes you can save money by sticking with your stock crank, dont need a AEB crank.

Dont need to upgrade valves, but its always a good idea since the stock exhaust valves are hollow.

If you dont plan on going above 8k you dont need to upgrade the springs, but it is always a good idea if you plan on taking it to 8k often.

450whp or 450chp?

well FML lol... this **** aint cheap.. maybe ill just chip it exhaust tint and lower it a lil and throw some rims on it. and just stay slow :-( blahh i dought it lol.. what im gonna do next is the diode mod on the map sensor and get a boost controller and crank it to 16psi see if im happy with that.. then go from there. im trying to find a cheap place around here to weld up a 2.5 straight pipe. but i dont really know of any where that will weld up just pipe anymore..

Dont even weld up a pipe, just dump it right at the downpipe where it unbolts. Save weight AND money

ok guys new Question. ive been looking at turbos (mostly the K04) and the not so cheap price tag. whats the best bang for your buck turbo to get for the A4 that will add some good power specs?.. the K04 seems like it only adds a lil.. and for that price i would exspect better specs..
