Default Just got a 98 2.8 Quattro

Well, I just got a 98 2.8 Quattro with 130K miles. It's an automatic and the car drives nice, but it has a significant oil leak. Any suggestion how to fix that? I know, I should look at the bottom and see where is coming from, but I thought may be you guys know of common oil leak areas. The car is clean and has some nice mods such as cold Air Intake, lowering spring, rear M style spoiler, 17" wheels, etc...Oh, I paid $3500 for it. Did I get a good deal?????
Thanks

Not bad depending on where the oil leak is from and assuming it has been maintained well (which it may not have been if the leak has not been addressed...). Auto sucks, especially in a 2.8 I would never personally buy one but thats a personal preference. I hope you got it checked out before purchasing as an Audi with that kind of mileage and a shady maintenance history can be a grab bag of problems. Good luck with it and welcome to the community. I would check the cam seals as those seem to be a common leak area for 2.8s, but it is apparently a bitch to fix. I would get it professionally checked out.

Take it to a shop unless you can locate it yourself. Make sure the oil filter is tight and there is not a crack in the oil pan first. Just remove the plastic gaurd. And take a looksie for youself.

If you cant see were its coming from then take it somewhere. I woudl say that is a pretty good deal. that is depending on what is leaking.
