Yeah I turn it off, then turn the car off then back on, and its back on on its own. Weird.

So I checked and set it to stay at Fahrenheit, but when you turn the car off and then on it goes back to Celsius. Can it be a fuse or something?

Where can you buy these?

i just used a thin metal nail file with a point to get mine out haha it didnt damage it and it worked. put it straight in and push the little clip holding it to the right on the right side and pull it forward a little so it stays unclipped, then do it to the left side just push the clip to the left. then it should slide out.

oh and just something you should know incase you dont already. if you plan on replacing your stock stock stereo, later on down the road if you need to scan your car for codes or get it smogged you will not be able to link to your car without the stock stereo in.

i ran into the same problem. so whenever i scan my car i just plug in my stock stereo real quick and it works even with it on safe mode.

I'd let audi try and fix the stock radio because it's uniform and looks nice in the car. Also call the guy u bought it from and ask him to give you any code he knows of. When i bought mine from the original owner my radio card had been scratched out and a sticky note with the new code was on the manual. The owner said Audi did it so maybe pull the radio out and give them some info off the back see if they give you a diff code.

Also i'm having to replace the thermostat in mine because it won't get hot. My temp gauge stays next to the C but used to go to the middle and sit no matter how hot or cold it was. Now the thermostat is stuck open so water is always going out to the radiator to be cooled. Even when the engine is cold

Hmm thanks for the info, Im going to take it to the mechanic next week Im trying to buy a A4 avant and take both cars to get checked. Im going to leave the stock radio in, just need get the serial number, because the code I got from the card does not match. Ill try contacting the PO, but doubt he will be any help. Said he was a Audi fanatic, had 7 audis. And never came across any of the issues this car has..... Sure!!

So after 1 hour i was able to rig it open, yay and code was on the top of the radio. Wify got tunes now lol I used a bunch of files and metal parts to get it out. And the code was right on top of the radio.
