I just got mine! Not sure how! I didn't buy mine at a dealer and never worked on at one! But I don't have this issue! So yep!

Yeah, I got my letter a day or 2 ago..... I got my car from a local guy, but I registered on Audi's website to make sure I get all of the right info.

My car doesn't have a sunroof, so no worries there... but it refers to the "plenum drains" too.

I had the issue in my avant - it plugged and water went backwards and stained the headliner. Never had water in the floor. I cleaned the drains myself and cleaned the headliner. Been good for 2 years now.

well it appears as if the class action has been decided and the claim forms is to determine the total amount of the suit against VW/Audi. Also seems untill december 2011 audi and VW dealerships are performing drain modifications for free.

BTW how much did any of you guys put down if any for a reimbursement claim?

Ya i got the letter today but bought my car from for sale by owner. I had the coils replaced and since then the Audi dealer in my area has sent me a letter for everything including this new "water damage from sunroofs" it seems to effect every A model audi with a sunroof from 96-09.

Good to see VW/Audi is stepping up to offer a settlement. This is a common problem on just about any car that has a sunroof, not just Audi. But did you see what the attorneys are asking for? The settlement fund for owners is 8 million. The class action attorneys are asking for 30 million plus expenses of up to 1.5 million. Absurd! Guess I should've gone to law school!

Quote: No joke, I just got the letter today. If you bought your car through a dealership you should get the letter.
I received the letter, bought used from priv.

Thinking about getting my sunroof fixed using 'sunroof drain system' as work description and submit paperwork.

The sunroof drains to the front door jambs, which get plugged up unless you cut them correctly. The plugged drain will cause water to leak into usually the passenger footwell. If you have an auto trans, this will ruin it.

What are the plenium drains? The ones by the battery and brake booster? Those always fill on me and I've gone through auto car washes where it leaks into the cabin. >:\
