so i just got a letter from Audi informing me that the sunroof drains should be cleaned at least every 2 years to prevent water from getting into the car. they also attached a form that you fill out if that happened to you and they would pay you back for the damages if you provide evidence i guess. didn't really read it through but did you guys also get this?

 

Nope, I got one a while back about the coils but thats it.

i didnt get this letter, but maybe because i didnt buy/lease my car from an audi dealership so im not on their records.

i've only seen in one case that i saw water coming from my map lights when i was going through a car wash. It has never happened since, but i think it may have caused my headliner around my sunvisors to dip maybe cause of small traces of water started to loosen the glue.

I got the same letter yesterday.
You can send in your paperwork and receipts, but you will only be reimbursed IF the class action lawsuit "against" Audi is won.

well i cant really send in anything as i had no problems with the sunroof so far haha

 

No joke! You have to hate leaky parts, especially on sunroofs/T-tops (my personal fav). They're a pain in the butt to take care of and the water damage is always a headache to deal with. I never got the letter, but I'm going to keep an eye out on my car anyway just in case.

 

No joke, I just got the letter today. If you bought your car through a dealership you should get the letter.
