Hi everyone,

I just moved to VA and bought myself the cheapest, fastest car I could for $3.5k and I ended up with this 165k 1998 Audi A4 2.8L 30V. Problems:

1. Sunroof is dead. Engine still works, but it's off its track?
2. Front Left Corner Light flew off while driving after owning the car a week. =\
3. The exhaust had a small leak after the muffler, but now it has a big leak before the muffler and sounds terrible.
4. Dashboard doesn't light up, so during the night I dunno what RPM or MPH I'm at. =\

Other than that, it's a great car. SO to sum up... I need an exhaust system to replace my current one and a garage to install it. I've been reading up on the forums about a GReddy G2 System, but I can't find it for the life of me.

Any links to that system?

Oh and if you know of any Garages out here in NOVA/DMV area, I'd LOVE to know about them.

 

I just recently moved to NOVA too, whereabouts are ya? I'm in Sterling but I work in Tyson's Corner.

I had the same kind of exhaust leak on mine, it was a clamp just to the rear of the flex pipe, $40 and about an hour, no big deal. But if you're gonna go aftermarket thats cool too!

As far as the dashboard lights, could be a couple different things. I've heard of the wiring harnesses behind the instrument cluster going bad, but who knows. You might wanna have that looked at though, RPM and MPH are sorta important :-O

I have a good garage out in Sterling but its a Shell station so it takes a while for the guy to get parts

 

at that mileage I would hope it is on the 3rd timing belt....kinda pricey IMO but congrats on joining the family. With the sunroof its good the motor works that is the pricey part. Your front left corner light flew off? The whole assembly? Thats kinda crazy dude...I am in Southern VA so cant tell u a good garage in your area but I would definitely get it checked out soon if you are having problems like that

 

For the N.Va area check out Curry's Auto but go to the Dulles shop not the Chantilly. Chantilly over charges for everything and they are so swamped with work the quality isn't always top notch. Dulles does a great job. Just a personal story, when I went to Curry's to get a GIAC flash Chantilly quoted me $640 and Dulles did it for $540 including tax.

 

LOL its not the greddy g2, its the PES G2, which is a supercharger for the 2.8 30v, brings the hp to a total of 295!
