Default Just picked up my second B5 A4, No perfect but getting there.....

Just picked up my second A4 off of craigslist for 7,000 Last week. Its a 199.5 A4 AEB engine sport edition with 98,000 on the odometer. Yes I know what your thinking that's way too much for a B5 A4 but I fell like it has a lot of potential. The engine runs smooth considering whats been done to it. List of parts include, APR Stage 3 kit, 034 engine mounts, H&R coilovers, full Meyle stering linkage, APR FMIC, APR Intake, APR 3" Turbo back with APR high flow Cat, APR/Brembo stage 1 Brake Kit, F1 stage 3 clutch( One of the first things getting replaced), S4 side skirts, S4 rear bumper lip, HID lights 18" BBS wheels. The car does have some things going on with it. The APR Stage Three is not exactly complete. The original owner switched out the 28RS with a 28r. So the APR injectors and tune are no More . Plus there's a bunch of coolant leaks, im slowly fixing those one by one. The tires are also shot but I took care of that tonight, just ordered some T1 sport Toyos . Im a little split about the bumper. I originally thought it looked pretty stupid, I have since cleaned it up with some paint and wax and I think its starting to grow on me. My other option is a S4 bumper. What do you Guys think ? Keep it and do a total overhaul repaint or keep it classy with an original S4 bumper ? Here's some pics

That bumper kills the look of the traditional B5. I'd swap it for an S4 front.

Other than that I think the car looks good. I like the black BBS's.

Default Agreed

Maybe with some mild side skirts and a matching rear bumper. If not the bumper should go....

Actually, I think that's the only non-OEM bumper that is okay. Growing on me as well.

Is that some kinda aftermarket oil cooler in the center lower grill? You should put somethin over that so you don't take a rock to that thing and lose oil pressure

You cant tell in the pic but the lower part of the bumper doesn't hang lower than the s4 side panels. CCA4^ it's the FMIC, should be ok to take a couple rock hits. If I keep it I would most likely put some mesh in the middle area.

is 7k really overpaying for 98k miles and all those mods? i think it is rather fair.
