My turbo has been blown for a while and since I am looking to replace it, I figured I'd go with the k04. I havn't had luck finding where or which turbo to actually buy. I've heard that ebay turbos are not good, but at the same time buying the original k03 or k04 is too expensive for me. You don't have money for the proper turbo so what about the proper tune? Proper DV? Upgradeing a turbo is more than just the turbo, find a used k03 off a part out and wait till you can get the right thing to not trash your car.

 

You take your chances when you buy turbos from ebay or unknown websites. Personally, I'm not willing to possibly put a grenade under my hood just to save a couple bucks...

 

my Ko4 came from ebay.... 300 bucks brand new... 6 mo warranty... working great!

i have my old used Ko3 for sale if you want it.... it works great still, no shaft play $150

 

Well sicne my k03 is blown and that's around 850 new, I figured I might as well get a k04. Just looking for people who didn't buy OEM k03 or k04 and where they bought it from.

alot of the s4 guys are going with rp's.... if it really is an rp, it should be fine, but you will want to get tune and other supporting mods in the very near future

 

If I get a k04 i was gonna get a DV , but I really do not want to chip my car yet.I know I won't be getting much more power out of the K04 that way but i still don't want to do it yet.

 

If you get a k04 you HAVE to get a DV, but you do not really want to chip your car yet. YOU wont be getting any more power out of the k04 if anything you may get less...
