hi guys. i'm new to this forum. im from the Philippines and i own a 97 A4 B5 1.8TQM. it has only about 18,000 kms only as I rarely use since brand new. mods i have done so far are custom front mount intercooler, drop in filter, greddy profecB boost controller, flash tune ECU, full exhaust by supersprint. everything was ok until i installed the cams. now i feel that i lost a lot of power due to the cams. i got the cams very cheap at about U$150 and it came off a B6 1.8TQM. do u guys think there is something wrong w/ the installation of the cams? or should i just have the cams taken out? hope u guys can advise me on what to do. thanks!

 

You put B6 cams on a B5? I would wait untill a tech sees this, but i dont think that would be correct.

 

why would you do that? take those out and put your stock ones back in. unless your pushing over 400hp, you shouldn't even be thinkin about cams

 

they are the same cams. Only the Na 20v's are differnt. You have them set off

 

thanks for your inputs guys. i checked on the net whether the b5 and the b6 have the same cams before purchasing it from the seller. my mistake was i should have done research before buying the cams even if it was being sold cheap. cincyTT, should i just take the cams out? or what else do you recommend?

You need to check to see if they are installed correctly since i dont believe they are.
