I am sitting here doing my bio II hw and I was just wondering something about the B5 A4's. what year models come with keyless entry? and if you didn't have keyless entry how do you find out if you only got 1 key when you bought the car. and what would have to all be swapped out to make it keyless entry?

 

well i know alot of aftermarket places dont like working on the early b5's (dont know if they are all this way or not) because the locks are set up on a vaccuum system and is a pain in the as for wiring... i got mine with my 2 way pager alarm... they said they werent gonna do it cuz it wasnt regular elec locks but i fought with them about 15 minutes and they finally caved haha... but as for your question.. idk lol

 

ahh... lol I dont really wanna do it I could care less but I am just curious if it has it or not. the B5 I have right now is a 96 quattro and its mainly just for going to work I'm saving to get a 1.8t Q later on this year after I pay off my bike. but I was just wondering is why I asked. I was thinking of buying an ignition and all the keyholes from an 01 at this junkyard in tampa that they just got and are trying to get ppl to buy its parts. so im taking advantage of the opportunity so I was jw because they are giving me a great deal for the s4 stearing wheel + airbag and the ignition.
