If you don't have a "Switchblade" flip - out type of key, with a lock and unlock button on it, then you don't have keyless entry.

As long as your door locks aren't air powered, then you should be able to install an aftermarket alarm system with those features.

If you do have a CLS, you still might be able to find an alarm that you can use to program the CLP. I'm not sure though.

 

I don't have any keys with any buttons so am probably gonna get it done in some shop. On a completely different note, would you know any decent speakers to replace the ones I have in my door panels, preferably without any modifications.

It depends on what (factory) stereo system you have. The Bose amps run at 2 ohms and 2 ohm speakers are hard to find and when you do find them, they're not cheap.

You can buy some cheap (low wattage) 4 ohm speakers and that will compensate for the change in ohm load, giving you the most bang for your buck.

Find out which Audi stereo system you have before you do anything. FYI: There was more than one "Bose system" available for these cars, so make sure you're specific.

 

Am sorry if am changing the subject here but I have a huge problem. Like a month ago I took a look at my oil level and it seemed fine. Yesterday I started to hear some weird noises from the engine ( like it's running without oil) so I took a look and I had almost no oil left. I topped it off and called it a day. But then I was driving around, I thought I could check on the engine and baam oil leak. The oil is leaking from the backside of the engine from the top left corner I guess, the oil is landing on the cat and and burning. Please help I have no idea what it can be. I thought about maybe some loose bolts or a head gasket failure but i don't know.
I have a video but I don't have a way to show you.

If that engine runs without oil, even for a short time, you might not have to worry about a leak, because you'll be replacing the entire engine.

1. Which engine do you have (4 or 6)?
2. When you say "left", you're talking about the driver's side?

Before you answer those questions, check to see if your oil filter is loose.

 

I should clarify the oil on the stick was on the minimum so it didn't run without any oil. By "4 or 6" you meant 4 cylinders or 6, right? In that case I have the 1,8t engine which is 4 cylinders.
Left side meaning passenger side.
And the oil filter is tight.

If you're leaking from the right side (Always assume you're in the driver's seat when you refer to whatever side of the car you're talking about. That's standard and will help people help you better and faster), get under the car, find some spilled oil and trace it as high as you can.

It may be a valve over. Technically there are more than one. The "half-moon" seal is in the back, by the firewall, etc.. The turbo is also oil cooled, so check those lines as well.

A trick that I thought of, is to buy some distilled water and pour (or spray it if you can) on the area where you think the oil is coming from, but do one small area at a time and check under the car each time and when you finally begin to see oil, then trace it back up to it's source.

Don't worry about getting any electronics wet. That's what the distilled water is for (it doesn't conduct electricity). Just make sure the water doesn't mix with any other fluids (especially the oil).

Okey i sorter out the oil leak. Now am seriously considering selling the car because i think I bought a lemon. I did an oil change 3 days ago. I checked the oil today and it was stinking with gasoline. And I know that mean something is really f up
I called my mechanic and he suggested changing the spark plugs first. I don't know what the hell I am going to do. It can be a leaky injector as well and i don't know. What do you and the guys here think??

 

Gasoline is not going to travel down from the head to the crankcase. If anything, it would be the opposite, because compression would cause gas to burn first and bad rings would cause the car to smoke really bad.

I don't think you have gasoline in your oil. You might have a gas leak near your dipstick, which would explain the smell.

Where was the oil leaking from?

 

Left side, all lights having issue. ALL ***** are new, yes I utilized gloves. New stabilizer, (stock substitutions from audi), and now, not even a month into new globules, tail light doesn't work, front lamp on left doesn't work yet mist lights, brake lights and turn signals do?!? Possibly switch? Be that as it may, everything else works, not certain here. Had it at Audi and they said there is no issue, no mistake codes, I'm kinda getting baffled here.
