Default Kia Optimas are built like tanks. UPDATE #1

Update #1 - The appraisal came in the other day, $875 and change for the repairs, should take about 3 days. Insurance still has to go through the paper work to find the kid at fault. We're finally getting somewhere.

My first accident today.

I was on a 4 lane road, 2 lanes each side, the kid in front of me was going into the right lane so I just continued on my way, when all of the sudden he takes a swooping LEFT TURN into me. I swerve to the left and hit the brakes but still managed to hit him.

Here's the damage!

There was no damage to his driver side wheel well or anything, which is where I hit him. What an idiot.

Edit: What put a smile on my face during this whole ordeal was getting at least 4 compliments from different people and onlookers about how nice my car was . Also, looking back at Andrew149's accident thread and looking at this damage... could they total my car?

At first I wasn't too happy shorty, but then a few minutes later I was thinking that she's going to look better after everything is repaired because I had some nasty scratches on the drivers side the the previous owner tried to fill in. So I'm pumped about that!

I doubt they will total the car.. a fender, couple brackets, bumper cover, little paint..

You should have the tire/wheel and suspension looked at..

I don't want to look for a new audi . This car runs flawlessly. It has 165k on it and still purrs. No CELs, nothing.
