Hey so Ive been looking around for the best deal on a ko4 for my 1.8T. I don't have a lot of money and im trying to find the best deal, what should i stay away from? On ebay there are ko4's that are from like MAZDA CX7's, im guessing those will not fit on my Audi? Any advise is welcome.

Most of the ebay ones are a 5 bolt exhaust housing, your's is a 3 bolt.
Gpopshop.com will probably be the cheapest place, or check the classifieds on the forum.

 

^ yeah, thats where i got my k04 turbo from.

 

85% of the turbos on ebay are made in china, garett knockoffs. there was one or two people that have actually gotten a genuine garett that i have seen, but they paid $350-$400, but the 'brand new KO4 upgrade!!!!!' turbos for less then $300 are the ones to avoid. they need to have garett markings on them. if you were to get a K04 you need the k04-015. other ones will not be bolt on.
