Left foot braking?
I was watching an old video about the strat of quattro and all the racers used left foot braking and kept the right foot on the gas to keep the turbo spooled up so when they let off the brake it was like a rocket going off. i was wondering if anyone has heard of this or uses it cause i tried and i dont have enough control with my left foot and usually end up slamming the brake lol btw the video is

i don't left foot brake due to my ECU freaking out and throwing a fuel cut(guessing here)when it sense's me brake and gas at the same time. i wish i could though
but i have been practicing my heel/toeing for the past few months now and i've gotten pretty good at it. so much so that a passenger of mine was confused when i was under hard braking from 4th gear and i managed to downshift into 3rd then 2nd in seconds all while braking and making the turn. he was like "How did your cardo that?". it was hilarious. it sure makes driving more fun too

I know what ya mean lol i really want to practice it more cause it seems like it could actually make you faster if you were a good enough driver to use it right maybe one day ill get it down
yeah, only really going to make you faster if you're actually on a track. haha. but around town it's just for fun.. it's a bit tricky thanks to our pedal setup. but you get the hang of it after a while
I use my left foot to break when I drive my truck off road on steep hills and rocks. I lightly press on the break to load the torque converter to keep it locked at it's stall speed and used to do it in a old ford ranger that had a open rear diff. You can load the rar wheels with a equal amount of resistance so you don't get stuck because one wheel doesn't have any traction.
Thats the only way I drive. Doesn't matter what it is. I been left foot braking for at least 25 years now. Its second nature to me. But then again driving is second nature also cause I don't ever have to think about things. Its all an automatic reaction.
