well I bought my bentley manual for my b6 a4.. it came with 2 discs on for all audi pretty much from 2002 up.. and the other disc is for 2001 and below.. im sure u all have the same thing, well I was able to activate the one for my car(b6 which i have sold and plan to buy a b5) n I tried to active the earlier models disc and it won't let me, says I need to buy the appropriate discs for the serial numbers provided.. how do I get the serial numbers for the earlier model vehicles

 

i unfortunately dont know, i dont have those CDs. however if you need a quick diagram or guide, go here and follow the first link, download the the file. its got service manuals for just about every procedure for B5's and B6's. use that and vagcat.com and you have everything you need.
