I've been toying with this idea a couple weeks ago and just decided when I got the new-to-me iPod that I would put it into production.

My iPod is connected via USB to my HU and wired into my glovebox as a lot of people have. I was happy with this up until a couple months ago when I would get something out of my glovebox and have to deal with the wire and iPod flopping all over the place. So I came up with a plan...



That's the neat version of how my iPod sits. It's usually a tangled mess.



So I asked my Mom if she had anything velcro laying around since she likes to sew and has all that crafty stuff, and she did. So I stole it.



Then I had her make me a little iPod pouch out of some fabric she had laying around. This was just to hold me over until I get matching fabric to make it invisible.



Compared to the iPod. Velcro on the back.



A little electrical tape never hurt anyone.



All put together. I have all the room in my glovebox with none of the hassle of the wire and iPod all over the place. Now I'm on the hunt for better fabric so it appears more stock.

Anyway, I like how it all came together. I also have some clear sidemarkers and LEDs all over the place that I haven't put up here yet. Maybe another thread or even a timeline! Ha.

Where did you get those LL Bean Slippers? Been looking all over for those. How's the feel? Does it really give your foot +20 HP?

Anyway, are you running stock headunit?

Pretty smart and clean idea.

 

I have more road feel wearing them when I drive, that's about it .
