Found this the other day and after completing about two thirds of a 1700 mile road trip I decided I'd more heavily consider it. Too cheap to be true?

It's probably the same Chinese made K04. The same ones found on eBay.

 

where do you run into problems with the "chineese made" ko4's?

Just curious. I know theyre obviously cheaper, but if its not something youre looking to run for years then what could be the problem? Aren't the hp gains the same?

 

i think some people bought them and found chips on the compressor blades and stuff. i'd steer away

 

stay away buddy, that thing will fail within a month, there are a few threads about it on a different forum, I thnk ko4s are waste of money anyways, when I was upgrading, I took a ride in a ko4 car and it was really really disappointing, then i got my T28 for a kickass price. look in the classifieds, you will find a nice setup for cheap, or peice together a kit for cheap too. just make sure they are quality pieces. that there is a piece of ****, 400 bucks for a paper weight.

 

No blue tag = definite clone. Avoid. (I think some clones do have the tag, but ones that don't are definitely clones.)

 

i got a t25 for sale 100 bux... just rebuilt buy someone who works at hks down here in so cal, its the stock turbo for the sr20det... just an idea if u want something else that wont fail lol... the only reason its being sold is cuz we are putting a gt30 on the car instead... if nobody buys it ill prolly put it on the volvo or maybe this 1.8t audi i found lol
