So i did a little searching around on here and didnt find much.
So here it goes
I've got an 01 a4 1.8TQ with tiptronic and looking for a little more power.
I've got a k04 with exhaust, an Upsolute ECU, Tip chip, and an FPR.
im not tring to go bigger turbo but what else can i do to get a little more power.
The BT thread said "For the aggressive files, you will need bigger injectors, an adjustable FPR (I have), FMIC, and tuning(the upsolute ECU right?). Some form of an aftermarket exhaust is also highly recommended(I have remus cat back)".
I figured out to get the little more power i need to run the aggresive file and bigger injectors. Right? What would be in the supporting list?
I also heard that the TIP transmission cant support much more power than the k04 or more than 250ish and prolly not the FMIC with the K04. Is that true? if so according to the BT thread (not blaming the author just using as a refrence) i wont be able to go the aggresive file/bigger injectors.

Well your auto tranny should not have a hiccup since its a K04 you're running. If you're going well over 300hp then you may need an upgraded TC and/or VB. The bigger injectors will help and you may want to also get a new pump to insure you don't have fuel problems. You should think about getting an 007 DV since its better for your turbo. Doesn't matter wether you have an atmospheric or hybrid BOV. You may also want to get a different tuning. GIAC would be the way to go since they got aggressive files for the K04.

 

thanks. and if i were to get diff tuning could i just chip the ecu i have or get a stock ecu then chip that one?

Well I don't know how Upsolute does it but I know APR and GIAC have an permanent chip that is entirely fused into your ECU so no one else can get the programming out the ECU. So you'll probly need to get a spare ECU and sell your chipped one. GIAC will do a custom tune to insure you're gettin appropiate pressure and fuel to all your cylinders. More elaborate than chipping. The software you'll need for the aggressive files will be done by a shop that tunes for w/e company you choose.
