Default Loud humming noise when over 45mph

I have an 2001 audi a4 1.8t quattro manual. When going straight over 45mph i start getting a loud humming noise from the front left of my car, it still makes the noise when i am turning left but the noise stops when i am turning right. So i just replaced both of my front cv joints and even all new upper control arms because one was blows out on the left, and guess what? Still making the noise. Please help! thanks!

Gabe

P.S. The noise is still there when coasting in neutral.

Jack it up, hold the spring with one hand, spin the wheel - you can feel the roughness in the springs if it is bad.

Will it just be the wheel bearing that the sound is coming from?

Yes, that's your noise. Your symptoms are dead on for a wheel bearing, esp the part where the noise goes away when you turn one direction.

I've heard of smitylube's method, you can feel the roughness in the spring.

Is it okay to drive while the part is on the way? I was planning on a hour and a half drive today.
